Do I need a contigency plan?!

T-3 days to my trip to Macau/Hong Kong. I'm boiling excited about it as this is my very first visit to Macau/Hong Kong, a place where i've been yearning to go for years (5 long years) but never quite happen until now! Well I guess it is better that i'm only realising it now and not 5 years back. If it was 5 years back, I would be a mad shuttler not traveller because i'm 110% sure i would sign on with a travel agent and follow the tour guide's no-room-for-pee-itinerary, i would be shuttling from one place to another as though i'm running the Amazing Race, instead of travelling at my own pace (this was what happened to my 10-day-europe-trip with my family years back). But not anymore, now I've or I believe I've what it takes to be an independant traveller (i can kiss goodbye all the money-sucking travel agents)!

So, it is 3 days away, and the weather in Hong Kong and Macau has been terrible!!! It has been stormy for the past week, it was so bad at one point that they stopped the ferries from commuting people between the two islands. I've been following the weather forecast online very closely, everyday to be frank. I'm in delirium of panic now...will the weather spoil my week there (fingers crossed!)? Do I need a contigency plan? Do I? Do I really need a plan B? What would my plan B be? No to big buddha, no to the Peak, no to Disneyland, no to city tour, no to everything under the sun!! Does that really mean staying in the mall for the whole of 6/7 days when i'm there?!
